“Epic conclusion.”

There’s a saying used often when dealing with creative work, “At a certain point growth becomes more about consistency than creativity.” I think they really took that concept to heart, because they decided to make the same exact movie as all the others in this series, and somehow managed to make that dino eat hooman concept completely boring.

Not only does this movie fail to add any depth to existing beloved characters, but fails to tell a compelling story that resonates with literally anyone. I didn’t want to mention any plot details, as per spoilers, but it’s just so bad that it needs to be talked about. The main plot isn’t even about dinosaurs, it’s about giant locusts... Yep you’re favorite dino eat hooman story as turned into the we need to stop bugs story.

At the end of the second in the “World” series, I was hoping to see them play with the theme of how dinosaurs and humans can coexist. And maybe see a smaller scale story about our main characters having to conflict with eachother on what to do about their new prehistoric buddies. And maybe also see dino eat hooman. But no, we got locusts..

In conclusion, I’d wait until this comes out on your local streaming service, that way you can leave your seat, come back when the big dinos come on screen & then leave when the locusts show up.
